Information you provide will be treated in accordance with this policy.

Confidentiality

For God’s Glory Ministries Inc. does not release donor information outside of the organization and its related entities and programs unless authorized by the donor. We do not sell or otherwise share donor information with any outside parties and shall protect each donor’s personal information regardless of the format in which it is held. We educate our employees and volunteers on the importance of protecting the privacy and security of confidential personal and organizational information.

Retention of Personal Data

Donors are requested to provide limited personal information to For God’s Glory Ministries Inc. in order to expedite the completion of contribution transactions, provide charitable gifting information, and facilitate donor recognition, discreetly. This provision of personal information by the donor is completely voluntary. This information is retained in the financial records of For God’s Glory Ministries Inc. for financial recording and IRS purposes.

Anonymity

For God’s Glory Ministries Inc. exercises special caution to protect the identity of donors who wish to remain anonymous. The names of all anonymous donors, as well as other identifying information, are withheld on all donor-related documents.

Donor’s Bill of Rights

To ensure the respect and trust of the general public, and that donors and prospective donors can have full confidence in the nonprofit organizations and causes they are asked to support, we declare that all donors have the following rights:

  1. To be informed of the organization’s mission, the way the organization intends to use donated resources, and its capacity to use donations effectively for their intended purposes.
  2. To be informed of the identity of those serving on the organization’s governing board, and to expect the board to exercise prudent judgment in its stewardship responsibilities.
  3. To have access to the organization’s most recent financial statements.
  4. To be assured their gifts will be used for the purposes for which they were given.
  5. To be assured that information about their donation is handled with respect and with confidentiality to the extent provided by law.
  6. To expect that all relationships with individuals representing organizations of interest to the donor will be professional in nature.
  7. To be informed whether those seeking donations are volunteers, employees of the organization, or hired solicitors.
  8. To have the opportunity for their names to be deleted from mailing lists that an organization may intend to share.
  9. To feel free to ask questions when donating and to receive prompt, truthful, and forthright answers.
Donor Rights under For God’s Glory Ministries Inc.

a) Right of Access

The donor possesses the right to inquire about the personal data we hold concerning him and to request a copy of this information.

b) Right to Object and/or Restrict Processing

The donor has the right to know the purposes for which his personal data is collected and used, and he may request that such collection and use be restricted or ceased.

c) Right of Data Portability

The donor has the right to request that a copy of his personal data we hold be transferred directly to another organization.

d) Right of Erasure (Right to be Forgotten)

The donor has the right to request the deletion of his personal data that we retain.

e) Right of Rectification

If the donor believes that the personal data we hold about the donor is inaccurate, he has the right to request that it be corrected, amended or updated.
